Rock wool systems

Black Logic Line systems.

A complete rock wool production line consists in a machine assembly that processes the material from melting to packaging. The “hot” part is located at the begin of the line where the machines melts the basalt rock and transform it into fibre. The polymerisation and material processing stages follow, where the product takes on its final shape (panels, mattresses or felt). The packaging system is located at the end of the line and consists in the machines that package the product and prepare it for warehousing or shipment. For “special” products such as pipe section or lamellar products, Gamma Meccanica supply special systems or “additional lines".

The indicative production capacity of a rock wool line can vary from 200 – 1500 kg/h with tank melters, and from 1000 - 5500 kg/h with cupola melters.
Product specifications can vary according to the customer’s requirements. The useful working length of a production line can vary from 1200 – 1800 – 2000 – 2400 mm.

The typical composition of a complete rock wool production line:

raw materials storage/mixing/feeding system;
fibre melting and forming section – tank or cupola melter – fibre centrifuges with from 1 to 4 disks;
felt forming chamber with or without pendulum;
fibre reception, polymerisation, trimming, facing, longitudinal and transversal cutting section;
rolled-up and finished roll packaging section;
panel stacking and packaging section;
melter, forming chamber and polymerisation oven smokes treatment/filtering system;
chemical binding agents storage and feeding system;
production line dust recovery system;
complete system for the recovery and briquetting of various scrap (with cupola melter only).
