Cutting Systems

Cutting completes the recycling process and the cutters are located at the very end of the system. The recycled material comes out of the die plate in the form of spaghetti which is "cut" by a series of rotating blades into small cylinders which are cooled with water and then dried in a centrifuge. During this stage, the material takes on the form of a bead. Gamma Meccanica offers two types of cutting system: TI and TDA.

TDA cutting system (Water Ring)
The TDA features an innovative design concept which allows smoother and faster production starts and changeovers compared to former models. It can be installed on lines for average to large production capacities, suited to recycling most plastics (PE, PP, PS, ABS, MASTER, COMPOUNDING and others). It is also compatible with every extruder model currently on the market regardless of the make. Available in the following sizes: 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0. Sizes 1.0 and 2.0 are also available to a limited degree for small production capacities for master, compounding or workshop productions.

TI (or under water cutting system)
TI or under water cutting is indicated for the granulation of all plastic materials with high fluidity. The cutting head is completely immersed in the cooling water, which creates a cold film on the material as soon as it exits from the die plate holes. The materials used to make this machine have advanced technical specifications and make the system extremely reliable.
