New GM 65 line

For the regeneration of PE, PP, PS, PET, ABS, PC, PMMA

A new regeneration line has been completed to recover materials in form of flakes or ground material: it is the GM 65.
The new line features an innovative design concept which allows an easy and quick installation. The feeding of this line can vary depending on the material while all other components: control cabinet, screen changer and extruder are placed on a single base.

The end of the line consists of a TDA 3.4 die face cutter, one of the most successful models of pelletizer designed and developed by Gamma Meccanica.
The line is ideal to process hard ground materials (with the use of a dosage unit supplied with the line) or film in the form of flakes, in this case using a forced feeding system.
The output of this line can reach 280 kg/h.
The screw has been designed to optimize energy consumption. Depending on the processed material, it is indeed possible to reduce the energy consumption down to 0,18 kW per kg/h.
The entire line is controlled and managed by a PLC.

Tandem line to recycle printed, humid and contaminated materials

Tandem is the new line designed to recycle plastic materials that are very printed, materials with over 10% humidity, as well as highly contaminated materials.

A GM125 Tandem line has been presented to salesmen and to potential customers. The company has organized an “open house” on May 17^th and 18^th, 2010, during which our guests could verify the line performances.

This system consists of feeding system AFT 125 ECOTRONIC Compac and two extruders GM125 arranged in “tandem”. The efficiency of the system is guaranteed by an innovative (and patented) degassing system. Two screen changers are connected to the line, one after the primary extruder, which expels contaminated materials with size over 0.5 mm, and another one after the secondary extruder, which allows the removal of 50-100 microns particles. This is the perfect solution in case of heavily contaminated recycled materials. The end of the line consists of TDA 4.0 pelletizer. The AFT 125 ECOTRONIC Compac, due to the new transmission system with electronic power control, provides significant energy saving, absence of water in the temperature control, the possibility to recycle materials with over 10% humidity and ensures a greater constancy of temperature of material inside the feeding silo.

The degassing station installed on the GM125 Tandem is highly efficient in the processing of materials with over 100% of print. The system is based upon the principle of creating a very large surface of exposure of the material to vacuum and in increasing the residence time of material inside the degassing section. The gas or steam that are formed by melt temperature and are mixed inside in the form of more or less distributed bubbles, are eliminated by the force created by vacuum extraction.

The plant is suitable for the regeneration of printed film with very high humidity and has a production capacity up to 750 kg/h. With a lateral dosing system it can also be used to regenerate heavy regrind.

The previous model, a GM 180 tandem line, is operating at a French customer to recycle bottles with over 100% of print, the plant has a production capacity up to 1500 kg/h.

The new feed system Compac AFT ECOTRONIC is a novelty that will be presented at the K fair in Düsseldorf. Through the new transmission system with electronic control of power provides the significant energy savings (- 40%), the absence of water in the temperature control, the possibility to recycle materials with humidity above 10% and to ensure the major constancy of temperature of material in the feeding silo.
