Main types of GM plastic recycling lines

– SMART Tandem and Compac lines for recycling of complex or variable input streams requiring automation.

– Tandem Lines for the recycling of heavily printed, highly contaminated thermoplastic materials, with high residual moisture.

– Compac lines for the recycling and compounding of low bulk density materials with high residual moisture.

– Conventional lines with various dosing systems for the recycling of plastics that have been pre-sized or ground prior to processing.

Pelletizing systems for plastic recycling

The pelletizing completes the recycling process: this is the final part of the plant. The recycled material comes out of the die plate in form of “spaghetti” and it is “cut” by a series of rotating blades into small cylinders which are cooled with water and then dried in a centrifuge. During this stage, the material takes on the form of a granule. Gamma Meccanica S.p.A. offers three types of pelletizing systems: new TTA, TDA and TI.
