Stitched mattresses production lines
The stitched mattresses production line is designed to treat the rock wool felts produced on the main line.
The stitched mattresses consist of a rock wool felt stitched on a support. They are mainly used for the insulation of cylindrical surfaces (pipes, ducts, tanks), conical and in general for wide surfaces of irregular form.
The production of stitched mattresses foresees the application of a support as metallic mesh (zinc-coated or inox) or more rarely aluminium, paper or glass tissue.
Usually the felt is stitched with a cotton thread, nylon, galvanized steel or inox.
The maximum width of the stitching machine is 1200mm. The maximum speed of the machine reaches 20 m/min.
The stitching group can be placed directly “in-line” with the main production machinery (when the speed and the width of production line allow it), or “off-line”: in this case the felt is rolled up on the main line and then transported to the stitching group.
The production of stitched mattresses represent an important niche of insulation materials market. Gamma Meccanica with the rich experience accumulated on these machines and technological content guarantees the dedicated solutions for the different needs, offers the possibility to place this unit on the existing lines and gives a continuous assistance with immediate availability of spare parts and consumable materials which are necessary for good operation of the stitching machine.
